This resource allows you to retrieve Generic Departments.
Generic Departments simplify Forecasting configuration. You can create a configuration for a generic department (for example, 'Bakery') and these settings are applied to all departments with the same name.
A company may have hundreds of locations which share the same departments--for example, 'Shoes', 'Electronics', and so on. These departments often operate within the same general ranges, and labor standards, tasks, and tasks groups are applied to each.
